RIK, I WANTED TO WISH YOU A HAPPY 55TH BIRTHDAY... ALSO, I'M SO VERY PLEASED THAT TRIUMPH, WHO WAS WAY PAST DO, MADE IT TO THE HALL OF FAME. IN MY BOOK, THE THREE OF YOU WERE ALWAYS HALL OF FAMERS. THANKS FOR MAKING MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARS BACK IN THE EARLY 1980'S SO MEMORABLE. TRIUMPH WAS MY ANTHEM, AND YOUR MUSIC WAS IN MY SOUL. I HOPE & PRAY FOR TRIUMPH TO CARRY ON THE FLAME AND KEEP THE ROCK AND ROLL MACHINE ALIVE. LASTLY, I HOPE TRIUMPH WILL EMBARK ON A FULL NORTH AMERICAN TOUR NEXT YEAR; SO EVERYONE CAN ONCE AGAIN ENJOY THE MAGIC POWER LIVE--CHEERS...!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Rik.
My dream of seeing Triumph, my all-time favourite band, in concert may actually happen in 2009. In my honest opinion, Thunder Seven is a masterpiece. It is Triumph's Mona Lisa. You have gotta play Time Goes By in 2009.
Wishing you all a great gig at Rocklahoma!
Ottawa loves Triumph!

Rik - I saw you at Rocklahoma out in Oklahoma yesterday. YOU GUYS ROCKED!!!!! Great to see the band together again and the light and pyro like back in the 80s - brought back lots of memories. Seen you the last few times you were in the Chicago area (Crystal Lake, IL in February). You are an amazing artist - been a fan since 1980. Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!!! Also, happy 32nd anniversay to you and your wife this month! Love to you and your family, Deb

Rik,
HBD! Like many others on these boards, Triumph's music was a major part of my life sound track as a young person. Thank you for getting back together with the guys. Whatever the differences in the past, this band matters too much to too many people to have let that be the final ending.
Thanks mucho for all the great music over the years! Hope it was the best birthday ever. It the words of Mick Jagger, "I think you just get gooder, really." (in reference to the aging process)

I got a chance to meet all three members at the hotel Friday in Rocklahoma. First, let me say that they were true gentlemen. They took the time to talk to our group, sign autographs, and then take pictures with us. Then our group went to lunch with Dave and Rik. I hope you enjoyed the birthday card Rik. You should have seen our whole group trying to make that card! They are the most down to earth and laid back people you will ever meet. Enjoyed our conversations with them. Then it was off to the show. I really enjoyed the press conference. They told how they arrived late to the press conference because their limo driver was pulled over a thousand yards from the concert venue because his license and plates were expired. Wow! Next the show. After so many, many years, the lights went down and the computer screens came on. Enjoyed the computer graphics of the face saying something like, "you thought we were gone but we are back!". Then they hit the stage hard from Allied forces to Lay It On The Line to Rocky Mountain Way, etc.. They brought out the flash pots, the lights, and the lasers!!! They were full of so much energy. From Rik swinging his guitar like a baseball bat and shooting his guitar like a rifle to Mikes fantastic keyboards and bass playing which was hard, heavy, and driving to Gils drumming and singing like there was no tommorow! He kept the group tight and on cue. After about a 80 minutes, the show ended. I turned around and the place was packed. The fans were going crazy. I hope the band saw our banner with the lightning bolts we made at the same time as Riks birthday card. We were displying it in the front row. After the show we went backstage and saw the band at the meet and greet. I know they must have been tired, but they stayed until at least 2:00 meeting the fans. Then we left for the hotel. What a show! The next day I looked back on that event and smiled. Triumph delivered the best concert I have ever seen! They are just as good as before if not better! There are so many people to thank for that event from their manager Alex(thanks for the badge), Mark, Al, Paulette,my brother Jamie, and finally the band. Gil the offer for The Masters Golf tournament is still good if you want to go. Thank you for a day and night I will never forget!

Happy Birthday, Rik!
It was so cool meeting you in Pembroke several years back. I'd been waiting 25 years to get to hear you, and you didn't let me down.
And thanks--from the bottom of my heart--for getting back with Gil and Mike, that my dream of seeing Canada's Rock'n'Roll Machine: TRIUMPH, live, may yet come true.
Can't wait to see you in Pembroke again in August!
All my best to the Rocket!
