    Baseball team?

I was an Expos fan since 1976 or so. Can remember when Gary Carter was a rookie right fielder/catcher.
Now, I root for the Jays in the AL, and the the Cubs in the National League. But in neither case am I as passionate as I was about the Expos. Can't bring myself to root for Washington.
So give it up - who's your team?

I'm a Milwaukee Brewers fan. HOWEVER, I do love the Toronto Blue Jays too, but the Brewers will always be #1 to me smile.gif

The brew crew, who by the way, WON today!! JJ Hardy going yard in the first...sweet stuff, Turnbow with the save, I like the Blue Jays too-Eric Hinske..he's from menasha, a city about 10 minutes away from where I live, his cousin goes to my school(Laura)...so definatly the Brewers as my favorite team!!

For those of you who care, my first game was rained out...its now tomorrow...so games tuesday, thursday, friday this week for me that should be fun with the semi cold weather

Brewers 1-0 for the year(I'm really excited for baseball season!!)

ahh, with ya on the Expo thing...i remember as a young lad heading to the big O with dad watching doublehaders on a sunday loving Larry Parrish on the hot corner and Dave Cash at 2nd and wondering why Spier at Short just couldn't cut it....getting all excited when Valentine took Carlton (of the Phillies) deep, or when they played this wicked musical intro whenever the 'Hawk' came to bat...getting amazed that a guy like Woody Fryman and his, shall we say atypical physic, getting people out before the big closer, Elias Sosa would come in and mow them down....anyway, where are thou 'les expos'...definitely not a general....sniff

    Re: Baseball team?

Being a New Englandah, I'm a big Sox fan. Started the season off great. Big Papi is the freakin' man!!! Schilling looked really good and Papelbon looked great. My fear is Foulke, who looked good the last week in Spring Training, and looked a little shaky yesterday.

I'm also a big fan of the Phillies, who didn't fair very well yesterday. I'm actually driving to Philly with my 3 bros to check out the Sox/Phillies series in may

I'm a SOX fan plain and simple. When growing up in the midwest it was WHITE ... when I moved to New England it turned to RED. I'VE BEEN LOVIN' THE PAST TWO YEARS! GO SOX!

    (Thanks for the Forum Lindsay!)

    Re: Baseball team?

It's funny about how I feel about the BoSox. I always rooted for them in the AL (starting with the classic 1975 World Series which I can just barely remember), I was really disappointed when they blew Game six in 1986 and was glad when they finally won the WS in 2004 (especially the way they beat the yanks).
I always figured their long-suffering fans deserved a title. But now that they've got one, I don't care if they ever win another. rolleyes.gif

    Re: Baseball team?

Milwaukee on top of the division as of now hah, up 1/2 game on Chicago and St. Louis, and Turnbow has a pair of saves already.

Also, for those who care...for highschool baseball-we won our first game of the season yesterday 6-4...against a team that beat us...well everytime we played them the last two years, so thats a good sign, pitching was strong, threw probably our number 3 and 4 pitchers saving the other two (me and another guy-maybe, I'd say those two are more of a 2 and 3) for the conference game on Thursday.

What position do you play? How many hits?

It looks as though the Foulke era may be done. Paplebon came in and blew away the rangers in the 9th instead of going with Foulke!

    Re: Baseball team?

I played short for that game, if we have a game today I'm going to pitch...if the rain holds off, went 0-3 in our first game with a walk...wasnt so great, but I hit it pretty hard, just at people, kids had little fisters that were falling in...thats how baseball works, also for the daily Brewers update 3-0 Turnbow has 3 saves now, although he sure did make things interesting last night...still, he got the job done, Prince Fielder got his first hit to drive in the go ahead run with a little broken bat blooper over Joe Randa's head at 3rd, JJ Hardy also went deep for the crew-impressive power out of him so far this season, already two dingers and all he had was 9 last year I think--best record in baseball so far

    Go Brewers!

Dave Cash is from Utica, NY same hometown as mine. I'am a Phillies fan,and reading these quotes brings back some great memories.
