    US Festival setlist

I knew I wasn't going insane!!  I attended that show and was 100% certain that they opened  with "Too Much Thinking".  Finally found a setlist showing this.  Anyone know why that song was omitted from the CD & DVD (if it's on here already somewhere I apologize for asking but I couldn't find it)?

    Re: US Festival setlist

I think it was technical issues, had some sound/recording problems with the track so they left it out.  They rearranged the whole setlist for the cd/dvd also.  I don't remember exactly what it was but, I believe that was the reason for leaving it out.

I think it is on here in a thread somewhere but...good luck finding it!  Especially with all the new threads about the two shows they did this summer.  No worries, you would have had to dig a bunch for it.

I'm sure someone here could elaborate more, I'm just going with what I remember from that thread so it may not be the exact answer.

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

    That about covers it Ben.

It sounded bad and you couldn't hear Gil on the first part of the song ( that was 25 years ago, my memory fades in and out).

I like that song on the record but it wasn't good live

That was definitely the opener on NS tour. Prior to it, they played a recording of the Processional/Overture from the same record and came out on stage one by one... Gil, Mike then Rik. I will never forget them ripping into TMT. First song I ever saw T do in person!

I will have to disagree that it wasn't good live. It still stands as one of my top choices as an opening tune for their shows. However, I will say, it was a Day on the Green show, we were close and it was LOUD. Volume and a band's presence can often make something sound better than it really does. ;) Or at least harder to note imperfections. I've not ever heard a bootleg recording of that tune.

That was the one T show I saw where I was relatively close to the stage. Basically identical to the US festival show. I love the US festival vid because it is such a good representation of how I will always remember Triumph!

Don't look back in anger, don't look ahead in fear. You just keep takin' her as she comes, until she comes in clear. The love you send out, returns to you in time.
